*Product Review

I started admiring makeup because of America's Next Top Model. I love Ms. Tyra Banks, the Jays, the photo shoots, runways, dresses, and commercials. My most favorite commercial in ANTM is the one for Cover Girl Cosmetics. From the Cycle 3 of ANTM up until now, Cover Girl Cosmetics is a sponsor and it gives a $100,00 contract to the winner. And that is the reason why I started using makeup. Thanks for the Easy, Breezy, Beautiful, Cover Girl.

So the first set of products that I'm going to give a review is from Cover Girl

CoverGirl Fresh Complexion Pocket Powder Foundation in Buff Beige (P500+)

• Product Packaging: As you can see it's an oblong compact. It's bigger compare to ordinary compact powder. It also has a wide mirror inside which is really a big help for my big face :)). Then there's the small silver logo of Cover Girl in the middle which didn't fade unlike other cosmetic logo. The product inside is just enough to last for about 3-4 months if it is used everyday. There's also a free latex sponge that is really soft and smooth and good for application. And it is easy to open. Score: 2/2
  
  
  

  
  
• Application: The product is a pressed powder but if you use a damp sponge to get it, it will melt like a liquid foundation. So I think that it is a powder to liquid foundation. The color blends to my skin evenly. I got it in buff beige; however, when I went to Covergirl.com to get a Colormatched it said that I'm in warm beige, but when I saw the warm beige at the counter of Cover Girl it's really orange, as in orange! Maybe the Covergirl Colormatched in their website is only for the western people. As for the coverage, it has a medium finish but it is buildable. Score: 3/3

• Effect: The powder foundation didn't last long on my face but it's alright because I'm not in an airconditioned room that's why it melts; however, it stays for about 4-5 hours. The product made my face smooth and my classmates noticed it so that's a plus. This powder foundation is really intended for oily skin. And I have a really oily skin and I think that it has a mediocre oil control. After 2-3 hours of application the shine on my face comes out but I think the oil control is longer if I'm in a cold place. Score 3/5

This is the product. I dropped the compact and the powder cracked.

So I just made it loose and put in another container

Overall: 8/10

This is a really good product for everyday use. I think it's better for people with normal to combination skin.

CoverGirl Truconceal Concealer in Number 4 (P300+)

• Product Packaging: The concealer is in a tube with a sponge tip. The sponge is really soft and can hold enough product. The packaging is really nice and neat, though the logo faded. It's about 2-3 inches, longer than the Careline Pimple Concealer. 2/2

• Application: The color is darker than my skin tone that's why it didn't cover my dark circles, I should have bought the Number 2. The smell is like yeast (the one used for making wine and bread) which I don't like but once I put it on my face the smell fades. It is in liquid form which I like because I can easily blend it with my fingers. 2/3

• Effect: It didn't cover my dark under eye circle. I put it on my blemishes, it did cover it but easily fades maybe because it's in liquid form. 2/5

Overall: 6/10

I think this concealer would have been better if I just chose the right shade.

CoverGirl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in Raspberry Splash (P300+)

• Product Packaging: It is in a tube and I have to squeeze lightly for the product to come out. It has a nice color, the color is coordinated with the color of the product. The design is cute, there's a drawing of the fruit which is the flavor of the product. 2/2

• Application: It glides smoothly on my lips. The color is really pigmented and gives shine. It's not sticky. And my favorite, the smell! It has a fruity smell which I really really love. It's like I want to eat the product because of it's smell. :)) 3/3

• Effect: It gives instant color to my lips and made it shine wonderfully. It moisturizes my dry lips, no need to put lip balm. The only negative about this product is that it doesn't last long but I really don't care because it's just a gloss and I can easily reapply it. Love this product! 5/5

Overall: 10/10

This is a great lip gloss! You should try it! There's also 12 shades to choose from. Watch Rihanna's CoverGirl Commercial of this as well as the CoverGirl Commercial of the final 3 of ANTM Cycle 9.
